While short-staffed the BAU receives a case where couples are being targeted, but in order to work the case, they must contact a local university to get a new perspective. During the case, the team lets their guard down, which results in someone being harmed, while one of their own struggles to understand new feelings. The real question is will the case change the team for the better or worse.

The BAU is filled with special souls who work hard and also members who try harder. For some it is natural and others prefer to do their work on their own. This is the story of a quiet young girl who searched for a place she might call home and then she found it but not where she thought and not where some of the team had hoped. I am aware of inconsistencies. IE Maeve and Gideon. I am not following the timeline. Just what I like and remember from the start.

Spencer Reid is kidnapped by an unsub that knows practically everything about him. The rest of the bau team have no leads and struggle to find a single trace of evidence. The unsub threatens to kill Reid if the team of agents isn't gone in 3 days. Will the agents figure this mystery out in time and save their youngest member? Or will they have to forfeit in order to save his life?
