I looked around frantically for Melody.

These waters were full of monstrous creatures that ate anything! Including sirens....

I was on my ship, ordering my crew to not leave this spot until I had Melody.

My crew never understood why I was so attached to a prisoner. And honestly I didn't know why I wanted her safe this badly.

But it felt like hell to know that she was in danger.

Suddenly I saw Melody's head burst out of the water. She was gasping. "MELODY!" I cried out in happiness. She looked at me, probably shocked that I waited in this spot for her. "YOU HAVE TO LEAVE!-" she yelled in response. Suddenly Melody screamed in agony. It was an absolute nightmare to my ears. Siren screams are very loud and very powerful. If your to close to one it could cause you to pass out or lose your hearing permanently.

Melody was dragged back under the water.

I had enough, I jumped into the water and saw Melody had huge gashes all over her. The water was filled with her blood. And the cause? Were these horrible looking monsters that were pulling Melody down to the sea floor.

Melody was shocked when she saw me try to swim back to the surface with her.

"JUSTICE?! WHAT ARE YOU DOING! THEY WILL KILL YOU!" She yelled at me and for the first time sounded like a normal human. I assumed that sirens are deadly to the ears even underwater. But they sound like regular people underwater...

'I'm saving you!' I mouthed. She looked as if she didn't want me to save her. "Justice...they will kill you...please go live your life..." Melody made my head look at her. 'THEY WILL KILL YOU TOO!' I mouthed. "But you have a life to live! I've lived mine up to its point apparently! Please!..." Melody said looking into my eyes. 'No I'm staying.' I mouthed. At this I saw Melody sigh and she pushed me away from her and the creatures. I felt a strong current trying to push me to the surface but I fought against it. I reached my hand out for Melody. Her face was full of sorrow.
