With the chess pieces in place, the world waits for a side to make their move. The first to move will set everything in motion, tearing the world asunder. Lives shall be lost and people will change. Hope will be destroyed and regained, only to be obliterated yet again when a monstrous being of old awakens.

Note: This is the sequel of The Inheritance. I highly recommend The Inheritance first as it sets up everything that happens in this book.
