A Change of Heart
When someone believes that they know what they want, sometimes the human heart asks for so much more, even if they just don't know it yet. For as long as he could remember, he was always the person who believed that he didn't need anyone to be there with him to get through the days. Now, seventeen-year-old Evermore student Zak-Neo Amberwell still chooses to think that way. With his stone-cold glares and blunt comments, he knows that he will never find anyone who would be in their right mind to spend a day with him and consider him a "friend," and he is willing to accept this as a simple fact. When Zak-Neo has a run in with Tai, the two learn something that they never thought would be possible. For Zak-Neo, it really is possible for someone like him to find people that can understand the drawbacks in his mannerisms, even if it means meeting a unique variety of individuals who are willing to do so. For Tai, it is possible for him to find someone who will stand by his side no matter what and is willing to support him through whatever troubles he has, even if it means he has to confront his own emotions to keep these friendships.
