Being abducted can have an effect on one's development. It can break you and build you up again or it can break you down until there's nothing left. Your heart will feel like it's on fire through every beat. Breaking you every second. But when you finally escape, then what'll you be like? What'll you be like when you're no longer being controlled? Being broken? Would you walk without fear? Or live in fear?

Brooklyn Carson was abducted at the age of 3. She finally escaped at 21. She has to go through challenges to finally accept and be accepted by her new reality.

In this story, we'll be following her on her path to freedom.

She learns their patterns, their pain. She disarms them one by one-first with her mind, then with blood. This is not a story about healing. It's a survival story. Everyone runs away from home at least once in their lives, whether it be a silly reason to rebel or to get away from a toxic situation. Either way, the outcome is different for everyone. Sometimes you end up back home, or a safer place. Peyton Nicole Smith lived 19 years believing she led a normal, successful, happy life. Even with all the conservative, restrictive rules she had been required to live by and abide to. It had only been the way she was raised. Peyton was so used to this lifestyle, she thought nothing of it which meant nothing was off or odd in her eyes. However, as she grew up and matured, her eyes opened and became more aware. This meant she would start to notice..... "things". Soon, life had seemed odd all of the sudden. So much so, she eventually learns the truth and escapes realizing she isn't completely safe. **TW/// Mentions of Drug use, suicide, and abuse**
