The Dark Side

Life has been nothing but struggling, anguish, and heartache for Ethan Hamburg (Timothée Chalamet). From the time he could remember, he's always asked himself, "Why am I alive?" After an unsuccessful suicide attempt, Ethan is placed into yet another foster home. He's less than ecstatic about moving into this foreign environment with bad memories and court-ordered therapy.

This is where his story begins! After meeting his seemingly perfect foster family (Keanu Reeves and Salma Hayek), Ethan comes face-to-face with The Packett's charming son Aiden (Sergio Brisyuk). Immediately there is an undeniable bond between the two, one that makes Ethan question his old way of life. Aiden's outgoing and optimistic nature is what truly draws Ethan in. Each day they seem to get closer, and Ethan can tell he's finally letting someone break the wall he's put up for so long. However, Ethan's emotional instability makes him question if any of Aiden's actions are genuine.

With the help of Terrance Moore (Jude Law), a brilliant psychologist, Ethan is challenged to let go of his traumatic past and finally accept that he can love and be loved. With each counseling session, Ethan comes closer to letting go of the abuse he endured as a child and confesses his feelings for Aiden might run deeper than he thinks. But as Ethan knows, life is never perfect, and when everything is going right, something is just around the corner to knock you down.

Ethan will have to decide for himself, is love worth it, even when it gets hard? Can he accept the feelings he has for Aiden and his family? Will he let go of his trauma and move toward a new future? Or will 'The Dark Side' consume him?
