My Undertale AU.
When a virus breaks out in the home of the humans, 1/4 of the human population dies. Angry, the humans blame the monsters for the mysterious disease. After being defeated at the last second and being sealed away with the leader of the humans' soul, they need to aquire 10 human souls to break the barrier. After a few years, they have 9. They just need 1 more, and then they're home free.
But when the humans grow tired of waiting for the monsters to grow "old" and die, they break through the mountain the monsters are stuck in, desperate to slaughter every last monster.
Whilst this happens, another human- the last soul needed to break the barrier- falls down.
Will they defend the monsters, or kill them?
