Midnight Chase Series: Book 1
__
It has been 5 years since The Phantom came into limelight. The masked criminal who pulled off the biggest crime of all times.
Exactly 5 years ago, at the opening of the biggest Government Money Reserve were present the political heads of the 65 states in the country. The day which was supposed to be the most prestigious day in the history of Lombedia turned into nothing but the most mysterious puzzles of all times.
The entire crowd of over 500 people that were present for the event fell on the ground, minutes before the inauguration ceremony. 30 minutes later, when the guests regained their consciousness, they realised 65 people still had not woken up. They were found dead.
With no drug detected in their blood, no weapon found and no evidence on any surveillance devices, this was the biggest mystery. However the most surprising bit was the fact that not a penny was missing from the crime scene.
Two weeks after the incident, the entire police force of the country received a text message.
"I'm the one who did it.
Don't try finding me, I do not exist.
-Phantom"
Right after this incident, the rise of Pawns was witnessed.
Pawns are believed to be the men of Phantom. However, no matter how much the forces have tried, the Pawns have always slipped away.
The questions still remain.
Who is Phantom?
How did he commit those murders 5 years ago?
But most importantly, what's coming next?
When Jane Madarang's neighbor Natalie kills herself and leaves behind cryptic instructions, it's up to Jane and her classmates to unearth deadly secrets.
