The topic of this short story was inspired by the group dance "Playing with matches" by the hit reality show "Dance Moms". The story is not a fan fiction and has nothing to do with the show.
Pyrophobia- The fear of fire. Follow the narrative recount of an 8 year old as she is led astray by her best friend. Sometimes we choose friends because of their appearance and their looks. But what happens to this 8 year old who chooses a friend just based on her stunning emerald eyes? Find out the inner turmoil of a little girl as she narates the terror-filled incident that is eternally scarred in her mind as a result of a foolish mistake.

A girl named Selena, 15 years old, is basically like your real life Cinderella. Mean step-mother, and mean step-sisters. She does basically everything Cinderella would do. But, she just doesn't put up with being treated like crap at home by her step-mother and step-sisters. She gets bullied by a popular group at school, with the group containing 5 boys: Nathan Sykes, Jay McGuiness, Siva Kaneswaran, Max George, and Tom Parker. Everyone basically just falls at their feet. Girls drool over them, and boys want to be them. Ever since they started at Allenwood Academy, and she met them, they've hate her, and she hates them too. The next day, Nathan tries to find the girl he danced with the previous night, by asking all the girls at Allenwood if it was their mask. Little did he know, that his last choice was Selena. Will Nathan stop bullying her, or will he bully her more? Will her step-mother find out that she left the house? Will Selena get pulled out of Allenwood? What will her step-mother do to her?
