Lex (short for Alexandrine, but she refuses to call herself that) Holloway was having the worst birthday of her life. She would even go as far as to say, it was the one of the worst birthdays in the history of birthdays. First, her boyfriend dumps her out of nowhere, then she has to miss out on the concert of a life time, and to top it all off, she gets murdered. Well... kinda. 

When she wakes up, she finds out that she's the newest member of Victoria's newborn army. Now Lex must navigate the moral ambiguity that comes along with being undead, and choose what kind of vampire she wants to be. Lucky for her, the hot girl  from school with a reputation of being mean turns out to be much more than what she seems.
