Dusk and Downfalls

Dying at sunset sounds dramatic enough.

It symbolizes ending. The ambiance was solemn and peaceful. It also casts a golden glow upon you, just in case someone was stupid enough to take a photo of your lifeless body. Plus you actually don't have to wake up the next morning, so it's basically a win-win situation.

Except it wasn't.

Except angels could apparently be stubborn and annoying.

"Isn't it your duty take me?"

"Yeah," he drawled lazily. "But you have to help me first."

"Oo na, sige na." I stood up and stretched, itching to get out of this mortal body. "Let's go start this freaking ghost hunting so I can finally rest in peace."

"Kung makapag-reklamo ka parang hindi mo kasalanan 'to." He walked towards the door. I followed him, a bit unnerved that only my footsteps were making a sound.

We stepped out into the cruel world once more, the suicidal girl and the angel of death, off to find a spirit that should have gone to heaven five years ago.
