Breckenridge, Colorado a town that is seemingly perfect, that is until an well-known resident by the name of David murders his family, then himself. Before dying he takes an oath that the devil himself could not take him, and that he would forever remain in their memories and the home he committed his gruesome act. When Skylar Daniel's father makes an announcement that their family is moving to a new town in Breckenridge, Colorado her whole life is uprooted and turned upside down. On their way to their new home Sky has a terrifying dream that leads her to become very unsettled. She unknowingly sets herself on a path when the history of her house is revealed. It is up to her to figure out the connection it may have with her father, before it is too late, and history repeats itself. The house in the wood is a compelling story of contemporary horror. It is gripping from the moment you read it. The story entertains the idea that spirits can linger by will or circumstance.
