Sherlock Holmes, consulting detective, wakes up in a cotton candy themed wonderland where the sky is purple and birds are obnoxiously pink. There's nothing blue in this strange wonderland; not until he sets eyes on a happy unknown man named John.
This story is slightly poetic (it uses a few metaphors) so I hope it doesn't get confusing. If you want me to explain a specific one, let me know in the comments.
This story is an alternate first meeting of John and Sherlock, meaning canon doesn't always apply.
I do not own these characters; all rights go to Arthur Conan Doyle (and since I'm using the versions of characters from BBC Sherlock, I'll also add Mark Gatiss and Steven Moffat).

Do You Want To Know A Secret?
An interesting twist on the Sherlock universe-Sherlock is a girl. John, however, doesn't know this. Neither does Mrs. Hudson, or anyone else besides his direct family. This takes place sometime after series 2 or 3, with Mary only dating John. It will eventually contain a bit of Johnlock, with the usual tension and what-not throughout the whole story. But this isn't necessarily just a Johnlock story. There'll be other ships somewhat approached, but overall, it's more of a thriller (or at least, I'm trying to have it be). Weeks passed, almost months, as Sherlock just arrived back home from a long and overdue trip over seas as he and John 'celebrated' his coming home. Soon after those couple of weeks, John starts feeling nauseous and can't stop throwing up. He shakes it off being a stomach bug or the flu. But time passes as Sherlock forces his husband to go the hospital for his condition of nonstop nausea and to find something strange that even baffled the army doctor. A year passed as their son, Hamish, was born as Sherlock and John get caught in a whirlwind of trouble and thoughts of another baby. Will both of them be able to hold on for long? Waking You Up
John dies and Sherlock blames himself, so much so that the guilt begins to affect his life. However, he keeps getting dreams of John talking to him and assuring him that he's not dead. Eventually Sherlock doesn't seem to know reality from dreams and everyone around thinks he's crazier than usual. As it is, Sherlock was in coma for awhile and John, very much alive, had been by his bedside constantly and talking to him in hopes he wakes up. Inspired by my favorite Futurama episode.Complete

The Doctor And The Detective (Johnlock)
John looked peaceful, his head lulling back and hands clasped together in his lap. His mouth was slightly open, and his breathing even. How had he fallen asleep so perfectly? Most people who had fallen asleep around Sherlock (which was, admittedly, not many) had slept awfully, loud and snorty, sometimes thrashing around, sometimes making weird sounds you're only capable of making while asleep. He sat next to the doctor, being careful not to disturb his slumber. Closing his eyes, Sherlock tried to get to his mind palace. To his dismay, too many thoughts cluttered his head. That had never happened before. Sherlock groaned softly, keeping his eyes closed. Maybe he should get some sleep. He knew John would want him to. "Ah John, what would I do without you?" Sherlock whispered to the sleeping man beside him on the couch. "I'd be a half dead robot if you weren't here. I almost was. I almost was."
