For 1000 years a vicious war has raged across the land, between the immortal Drachian and Selvian races. The once prosperous continent lay barren as many of its cities were captured or burned to the ground.

In  present time, the two races lay at a stalemate, quietly plotting the demise of the other, and losing themselves and their values in the process. In the darkest moments, abandoned by their own kind, unlikely companions, Lucas and Aelin join forces. Despite being allies, who knows what their true motivations are?
