A look of evident annoyance spread across his face, "And you are?" He slid his Los Angeles Dodgers cap back on his head. It reminded me of the only reason I was happy to be here; being a lot closer to my favorite team so I could go to the games. "Dodgers fan huh?" I questioned taking an interest in the guy that stood before me, "Oh- I'm Eve. Eve Reyes. I'm so very sorry about what happened. I promise I'll pay to have it fixed." "Ah, so you're that pretty young lady Coach talks about all day?" He asked with a smirk. His soft blue eyes lighting up with a look of mischief, "You know what? I know exactly how you can make it up to me." "And that would be?" I asked wondering what in the world he could possibly want me to do for him. We were mere strangers. He chuckled in response, I'll tell you when the time comes Eve. Just make sure to have a pair of running shoes with you at all times okay?" "Yeah, okay. Whatever you want. Even though I'm pretty sure I could just ask my dad to give you a private practice or something instead." I mentally groaned, what could he possibly he thinking of that requires me to run. "You obviously don't know anything about the team do you?" He asked, blowing a bubble with his spearmint gum, a silent pop following it. "Uh no, I don't. I don't even want to be in this dumb place. Now I'll see you another time. I have a dance class to get to." I picked up my bag and my white LA Dodgers shirt I planned to wear over my leotard tonight fell onto the ground. "Dodgers fan too aren't you?" "Only my favorite team in the league." I smiled, "Now really, I have to go. Bye Aiden." - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - -

I can feel his blue-gray eyes digging into the side of my head. I wipe my sweaty palms on my dress and turn my vision away from the moonlight reflecting onto the ocean off of this balcony. Sure enough, he is looking right at me, an intense look in his eye. My mouth feels full of cotton. How can this man make me feel this way after eight years of not seeing him? Nobody else has ever made me feel like this before, except for him. "W-why are you looking at me like that?" I whisper. I'm expecting him to ask me, 'looking at you like what, Darling?' But he doesn't, and something tells me that he knows exactly what I am talking about. "Because, you are just so...prepossessing, Darling." He whispers, and his voice sends a chill down my spine. I shiver. I swallow loudly and drop my gaze to my lap, my hands shaking slightly. What does prepossessing even mean? "Am I making you uncomfortable?" He murmurs. "U-um no." I shale my head slowly. He stands up abruptly, causing me to look at him. His body towers over me, his eyes searching my face for something that I'm not quite sure of, and then he holds out his right hand.
