Kellin Quinn was a mute student attending Mission bay high school, the 'rich kid' school. He was the quiet, shy, loser everyone else made him out to be. They bully him, beat him, and call him names because of his sexuality,and because he can't talk. Its the same hell at home too. With all the pain, depression, and the voices in his head, Kellin finds a way to live with it on the chatroom page, 'Chatty Cathy'. This made him feel better, seeing as he could talk all he wants online, unlike reality.

Vic Fuentes was the talkitive weird, loser,attending Clairmont high. Everyone at school would tease him about his schizophrenia and sexuality. Aside from the constant abuse at home, and at school, Vic one day happens to stumble upon a chatroom page that makes him feel ten times better at the end of the day.

But, will this chatroom be enough to keep them from their damaged lives, and finally make them take the great escape? Or will they somehow fix each other along the way?
