This is the tale of Aubrey Ashe, a regular high-school student living with her destitute drunk of a father and forced to work part-time as a waitress to keep them afloat. At least she was.
Through trials and tribulations caused by forces outside of her own control, she's forced down a perilous path, a path that would eventually lead her to a young man named Jackson Avery Rose. At first, he'd appeared as the fantastical solution to all her problems, and despite his strange and secretive ways, they quickly begin to grow closer.
However, as their ambiguous relationship keeps blossoming through peculiar twists and turns, our heroine cannot shake the feeling that there seems to be a more sinister secret to uncover beneath the gentle façade of her savior.
