On the eve of his coronation, Atem is visited by the deity Bastet to punish him for a crime he committed when he was sixteen. Atem is cursed to live the life of a cat in another world unless he can prove himself worthy of forgiveness in one year. It's a strange new world where Atem must first survive on the streets, then the shelter system (intact if he can help it), before finding his way into the home of an animal trainer.

Mina loves her job and the animals she helps, but there is one cat that is pushing her caring heart to its limits. Number 66 is three strikes from being destroyed, unless she finds a way to rehabilitate his behavior. Number 66 shows an abnormal amount of intelligence and can understand human speech so Mina will do everything she can to get him to understand that she only wants to help; hopefully without losing her sanity.All Rights Reserved
