A red siren sounded in the girl's mind, she knew she was in trouble the moment she saw him. She knew her brother would kill her when he found out she fell for a guy.
He ignored the noisy red siren going off in his mind, he didn't want to fall for her. Their mutual friend would be pissed if he spoke about it.
The two went their separate ways, bumping into each other causally but never actually conversing.
She was vocal in her feelings to him, causing her best friend to go insane.
He kept it internalized, pushing down the feelings and reducing them to almost nothing.
The internalized feelings bubbled up and they kept growing, and growing until he couldn't handle it anymore.
To him, she was the most precious person in the world. She was the prettiest girl.
She was vocal, but not too vocal. She kept the level in which she spoke at admiration. Even though the much bigger feelings lay at the pit of her stomach.
