It wasn't really the result I was looking for. In fact, it was even better. I never really thought that this would happen to me. I never believed someone could love, well, me. But they did. He did. That quickly changes when his face contorts into one of pain. "Cole?" my brows furrow in confusion. He lets out a pained and strangled noise before he drops to his knees, collapsing at my feet. The Path of the Adventurer
Here is an epic fantasy story set in my D&D world that I wrote not only for fans of RPGs and fantasy in general, but for all my friends. This story about my character Erion, a young elven warrior; and his many allies and enemies in the kingdom of Briarbeth. In this vast story, you'll meet daring heroes, joy-bringing mages, ruthless orcs and more. This novel has a multitude of inspirations and influences, chief among them being Dungeons and Dragons, The Lord of the Rings & The Hobbit, and The Legend of Zelda. I even take cues from anime such as Little Witch Academia, and favorite video games like Super Mario 64, The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time, and various JRPGs like Chrono Trigger. Look closely, and you may find subtle references to some of the aforementioned franchises at different points in the book :) Just a little warning: The story, especially the first couple of chapters, starts off with a several common fantasy tropes and clichés at first glance (e.g. elves and orcs, an old wizard with a pointy hat and a grey beard, taking treasure from dragon etc.), but it will grow into something a bit more unique as the story progresses. Please forgive my usage of Tolkienesque tropes, as I came up with the concept of the series when I was only fourteen (At the time I was making it in the style of old school fantasy, so what can you expect :p). Even I, as the creator will say it is cliched or stereotypical in some aspects. I only refuse to change them due to spending a lot of time with them during my high school years (And tbh i love elves/dwarves/orcs fantasy). With that aside, I hope that you will love my fantasy universe full of adventure and lore. Now sit back, relax, and embrace yourself for a magical adventure with Erion and his friends! If God is not going to punish the sinner then I WILL. People sometimes say to you, "Don't bother with them, their karma will come back to them someday". That is why sometimes people break themself in order to wait for that moment. But sometimes that moment never comes and you yourself are the one rotting away in this miserable life, so why wait when you could put your hands in it? "You are wrong. Whether I am here or not, your punishment will always come to you, I just.. make it much sooner for you. As I didn't have time to wait any longer", he said with a dark gloomy eyes that had lost their lights. When Shen Wei ran away at the age of 15 years old, he never thought that he would come back again, trying to untie the knot that had been lingering in his heart for years, he came back once again trying to understand some events, but to be honest, for him, it is just an excuse, he just wants to see the lights once again, to be able to proudly says "Mom, I have made it, the sinner have already been punished and you have nothing to worry about anymore". Even if it means to drag others down to hell with him. Shen Wei, "Because since the beginning, we have not been given a choice, we have been entangled in this trap, if we don't struggle to get away, you and I will surely lose. And I.. am not the type of person who will easily let other people bully me" Notes: First time making my own character, I think it will be hard for me to clearly describe how the character would be, but I will try my best. I must say first that the timeline is around the early 20th century.. probably, it is fictional, so there must be things that are different compared to the history. In a world without heroes Marion and his Patron God: Cavalier Corsair, will have a long list of Karma to deal out on the world and the villains in it. Not by being the heroes but by being better villains. Airships, Dragons, magic, magic mushrooms, love, tension, tragedy, Karmic justice, and comedic revelry.
