A horse-mad young girl has accident whilst out riding causing her parents to ban her from riding. Angry and devastated, Carrie runs away to find her grandmother who lives on a farm, only to find she passed away years ago and Carrie's parents used the money from the farm and inheritance to buy Gucci. Lost and depressed, the teen leaves for Dartmoor to spend her last week of life (she has no water) with the ponies. But... she finds a clean spring on the outskirts of Dartmoor with 16.2hh blue roan Trakehner drinking from it. Over the moon, Carrie slowly befriends the horse and names him Out of the Storm.
