Eighteen years after Margo and Fox Rodrgiuez welcomed their daughter, Kiera, into the world, things have certainly changed! The families of the 'Girls Talk' series are all coming to terms with the changing nature of friends, family and love.
Kiera is now enrolled in university, and is beginning to navigate her friendships and relationships during her second year.
She has been friends with Mateo since high school, but when new people enter their busy lives, and schedules become more chaotic, will the two of them be able to get through it together?
Meanwhile, the new rebellious spirit of the exchange student, Starla Evans, has pounced into their lives, bringing with her friendship and a bucket load of drama, too. That's not to mention chaos for one of Kiera's own beloved teachers, Miss Michaelson, too.
Starla, of course, isn't the only new exchange student, and Kiera becomes interested in becoming better acquainted with the popular student, Logan Golde, especially when he unexpectedly expresses an interest in becoming her friend.
To further complicate matters, Mateo's sister, Lia, is coming to terms with her own identity, and with it needs the support of her friends to ensure that she can become her best version.
OLIVIA YOUNG AND TRISTAN MORALES were hopelessly in love in highschool. They were best friends and lovers but unfortunately by the end of summer, their relationship came to an end because Tristan decided on moving to London to continue with his studies. Heartbroken and full of despair, Olivia tries everything to avoid seeing Tristan until her best friend has a gender reveal party.
What happens when Tristan is also attending the same party? Due to unfortunate circumstances, Liv is forced to stay in London for the following eight weeks? How unhappy will she be when she finds out she has to stay with him for those eight weeks? Could they possibly restore what was once there? Or is the love between them fully gone?
"You could have fought for us. For me." I said, a tear streaming down my cheek.
"I know baby, I should have." he whispered, clasping the side of my face.
(If you are unaware, i've changed Jake's name to Tristan)
