"remember my words
that i will return
and make you my own
you will never be alone."

~~~
Sarrin thought she had a good life. She had the best boyfriend and a nice apartment. She could practice cooking all day long, and she would dream about owning a restaurant.
However, she thought wrong. Her boyfriend didn't love her. Sarrin caught him cheating on her in their own apartment. And the worst part about it was that it wasn't the first time he had cheated on her.
In a shower of rage and anger, Sarrin ran from the apartment. She didn't know where she was going, she didn't know what she was doing, but she knew she had to run. He was the only person she ever trusted, and he broke that. He broke her.
When Sarrin thought she was at her lowest, a handsome man named Iroh swooped in and showed her what real love was. And just when she started to fall for him, he had to go off to war. Iroh promised that he would return. She had to hold onto hope that he would return.
"As our ship sailed on past the horizon, where the ocean meets the sky, I drifted off to sleep, and for the first time, I didn't dream, because reality was better than I could have ever imagined." • • • The perfect storm brings Bao, an kind-hearted, talented, yet unconfident waterbender from Republic City and Iroh II, a powerful, compassionate General (not to mention Crown Prince of the Fire Nation) together- quite literally. She saved his ship, and he saved her. Yet, in spite of all they went through together, Bao runs away from him. Terrified of public attention and being made fun of in the media, she seeks shelter in her family's home. Not one to be easily deterred, Iroh writes to her, and with the help of friends and family she returns to him, and to her destiny. It's a grander, more liberating one than she could ever have hoped for. One she faces her fears, she realises how much she matters, that she really was worth loving all along, and is finally able to face the world with open arms and open eyes. ||General Iroh II x Original Character|| A few choice pieces of knowledge about this book: 1. It's very close to my heart. It was my first fanfiction EVER, and I used it as a platform to write about a great deal of insecurities in my "real" life. So, most of the stuff you read about Bao is actually about me (unsurprisingly). 2. I wrote part of it about five years ago and finished it more recently, so there is a (relatively) dramatic shift in style about halfway in. I think the first parts are ehhh but it gets really fine tuned by the end. I didn't go back and edit the earlier parts, but if you stick around the whole time, it only gets better as you go! ||Once more, thank you, to everyone who liked this, and told me so! It means the world to me!|| One last sappy thing: I love you guys! Having said that, I'm out. ♡||
*Old Work* "Well, my family have a lot of great benders. Aang, Tenzin, Katara, Kya even my dad was a great firebender with an earthbender mom... I can't understand why I'm not destined to bend. If I have to be honest, it's all I've ever wanted to do. I too wanna make my family proud." I said letting all of that go, and I felt relief in my body. I've never opened up like that, especially not with people my age. "Wow, you're actually capable of saying more than four words." He said and we both laughed. I could see where he was coming from. I was never the one to be good with words. "Sorry, I didn't mean to bore you with the story of my life." I said already regretting how I had rambled just a few moments ago. "No, I'm glad you're finally opening up. It's nice to know the real you." He said and stopped up. I automatically stopped up myself and looked up at him. Into his mysterious eyes, holding more than I could ever be able to explain ************************************************ In this story we follow Kya's daughter, Naomi the nonbender. After Naomi's dad past away, everything has been difficult for her. Kya can't watch her own daughter feel this kind of hurt anymore, so she gets the idea of sending Naomi to Republic City. Where she can get away from all the hurtful memories, and live there with her uncle, his family and Naomi's childhood friend the amazing Avatar Korra. In Republic City, Naomi meets Korra's new friends, and she help Korra with her fight against Amon.
