Betrayed

Isadora Luciano, ruler of the modern mage world, doesn't know how things got so bad. She thought she had raised her daughter to follow in her footsteps, protecting her and giving her every possible advantage. She didn't realize Victoria would grow up to be a heartless tyrant, hellbent on controlling, punishing, and sometimes killing those she considers beneath her-which, unfortunately, is just about everyone.

What's worse, Isadora can peer into a person's future-why didn't she see this coming? Once Victoria's powers finally manifested, she quickly became something great and terrible, feared by mages all across America. Isadora is shocked to discover just how far her daughter will go to get what she wants.

Knowing that the future ahead is a bleak one, Isadora sets out to do the one thing that can save the world-she must protect her granddaughter. The future of the mage world rests on the shoulders of one tiny but remarkable child.
