Skye Jones knew the world had been screwed to hell years ago. What she didn't realise is that she would be expected to save it. After five years in an isolated facility run by the American government with other kids like her, Skye is released into the nightmare beyond the barbed wire walls to trial a safe route to Washington DC. It's the first breath of fresh, unfamiliar air which she wouldn't get beaten for, but that doesn't take away the danger. She's unprotected and isolated because of who she is, but she's one of the most dangerous things out there. With death waiting around the corner at every turn, Skye's group focuses on their main goal: the capital. Yet, this isn't as straightforward as they thought, and they begin wonder if they'll live to make it out the other end. [60'000 - 70'000 words]

They were just trying to survive. Hiding. Healing. Hoping for peace. After escaping the Facility that turned gifted children into weapons, a small group of friends find refuge together bruised, haunted, but still holding on to each other. When soldiers invade their safe haven and take five of them, the rest are left shattered and desperate. Now on the run again, Kai, Theo, Sloane, and the others must find the courage to fight back, even as fear and grief threaten to tear them apart. Bonds are tested, loyalties are questioned, and every step toward saving their friends brings them closer to the truth about what the Facility really wants and what it's already done. Inside cold metal walls, Mara, Lena, Callen, and Emma endure endless torment, clinging to the hope that the others are coming. But one name is never spoken. One face is missing. Mira. Love. Pain. Family. Survival. This is their fight to stay human in a world that forgot how.
