In a village on the outskirts of Shiko, a lone dragon has his eyes set to become a flyer. On one day in this village, Vex and his trainer Isen work on enhancing Vex's flame when catastrophe strikes. His village is attacked leaving him one of the few to make it out alive. Now he has his eyes set on revenge against the ones who had attacked his village.

What needs to be done for a better world
Scarred by a cataclysmic meteor strike, humanity struggles to rebuild amidst the wreckage. As civilization begins to take its first tentative steps forward, a bizarre twist of fate unfolds. Animals, exposed to a mysterious chemical agent released by the impact, undergo a radical transformation, gaining humanoid traits while retaining their primal instincts. Communication proves to be a barrier in the early years of their appearance. Humans, fearing for their species, ignited a war for dominance. Yet, as the conflict rages on, it becomes increasingly apparent that the scales are tipping in favor of the evolved animals. Humanity finds itself on the brink of extinction and, recognizing the futility of the conflict, a fragile peace is brokered between the two factions. Yet, despite the truce, tensions remain high. Amidst this uneasy peace, our protagonist must navigate a world forever changed by the clash of two civilizations, grappling with questions of identity, survival, and the ever-shifting dynamics between man and beast.

But when the wyvern known as the Frost King terrorizes the village and Seton is sent to slay it, he begins to realize how far in over his head he truly is. Please be aware that this story contains some depictions of violence and blood. Apologies for the awkward chapter breaks in this first draft. As the story was not written in a chapter-by-chapter format, I had to just establish breaks where I could.
