"YES! all those times when we were younger, we ate, slept and played together. You've just been my friend for all my li-" I tried to explain him that our relationships have boundaries but he cut me off in the middle "cant we do that now?" he said with his lips parted, breathing heavily "like you said.... eat, sleep.. and play?" he smirked at my face inching closer towards me. This is not happening. I just can't go back there. That was the worst part of my life that I want to forget. This is not happening. I kept thinking that all the way to my car. The moment I reached my car, I felt someone turn me around so that my back was pressed to the car. I saw Edward looking at me with concern. "Sugar, this was not how you were supposed to find out about me. Please let me expl-" "There is nothing to explain Edward." I said. "No, there is. Just-" He started again but I cut him in between again. "It's not you Edward. It's me. I just can't go back from what I escaped. I don't belong in your world." I said tears starting to form in the corner of my eyes. "I can't go back to that world." "You are my mate, Ava and I can't let you go. You belong to me. Only me. And nothing in the world can change that." He said, making my worst fears come true. "No Edward. I can't be your mate. This can't be possible." I said contemplating on whatever the hell was going on. Aurora: In a world where love had to be earned I would never be good enough. I was the black sheep in the family, the witch without magic. But in a cruel twist of fate I have to enter an academy - a safe ticket to the special forces- as a maid while my sister joins as a student. But finally after an eternity of hell there was a slight chance I could join the special forces and even if taking that chance meant being tormented by a handsome yet rude dragonshifter called Ronan I would gladly take it. ________________________________________ The more Aurora gets to know Ronan, the more the pieces of their past begin to fall into place-memories of a fateful encounter that should've never happened. And as their bond deepens, so does the mystery of the Ghostly, the ancient forces they're up against, and the secrets they both carry. Look Through My Eyes (Second bk of Acceptance Series) (Completed)
I never thought I would see him again, not in a million years. My body has yearned for the boy that I had known growing up, my rock, my Protector. I missed those late night talks that both of us had when he was mine. I never thought that he would be asked to go to the king's palace for the summer, not with me being there and not with the king knowing about my past and what he had done to me. But, when the King had told me that he, my "mate" changed, I did not know what to expect. I did not know what my relationship would be with the man that seemed to be on my mind, but I wasn't expecting anything different than what I had left at the age of eighteen. People change, but can he change enough to look through my eyes? And, can I look through his eyes to see why he did what he did? Or is it too late for us? What happens when his future Alpha, aka biggest bully and former friend turns out to be his mate. Will he accept and care for him or make him lose the last bit of hope he had? Like a saying goes 'The grass isn't always green on the other side.' *** "I didn't mean it.. I.. I was young and ignorant..." he tried to explain while clenching my hand, I looked at him in disgust and pulled my hand away. "What about me? How old wad I to deserve all the things you did to me?! You left me, you are not gay." My voice trembled bit at the end but my face remained as emotionless as ever. I will never give him the satisfaction of seeing me vulnerable, not again. But why does my heart feel like it's bleeding? Shouldn't I be hating him and happy that he's on his knees begging me.
