Seven years have passed. After the Battle where they lost Samairah, Marinette and Adrien had cut all ties from their old lives and started a new one together.
But the nagging thought was still there.
Hawkmoth hadn't been defeated, and he had the Thunderbird miraculous.
Though he had not attacked Paris since then, Ladybug and Chat Noir didn't think that the danger was gone. It was still very much there, lying in wait.
And now, when Marinette and Adrien are going to America for the New York Fashion week, attacks are happening on the city that have a close resemblance to the ones that happened In Paris years ago.
