Everything. Everything was black... No light and no color... just pitch blackness surrounding me. Only being able to hear my shaky breaths and the creaking floor boards under me as I took cautious steps to find the nurses desk, the only thing that I'm able to feel being mind-numbing terror. My legs tremble from exhaustion as I had by this point been wandering for so long that I've forgotten how much time has really passed and from all the clocks being frozen at midnight I am unsure for if time is even passing. I couldn't find a way to process what I was touching after I bumped into something seemingly quite heavy. 'd...did I find it? I-is this the desk?' I felt around, feeling for a match box, in which I soon felt it after a bit more cautious lingering. Once a match was lit, I lit the candle I had before putting the match out, now closing the match box and putting it in my pocket. I looked around the room and found I had been near the cabinet when my candle had gone out, so that's what my back had been pressed against. 'How could I have missed such a thing? The cabinets are so big to...' I laugh quietly at my stupidity before walking cautiously to the door, only stopping when I hear weeping from the corner of the room which makes my blood run cold as I knew I had been completely alone just mere seconds ago. My heart was now pounding as I turned to look at where I heard the weeping coming from, only to be greeted by someone standing mere inches in front of me with a wide twisted grin that had staples keeping it as wide as possible. The person's eyes were wide and also stapled open as I could stare into their light blue bloodshot eyes. They only uttered a few words which sent me to run out of the room and never look back, the full appearance of the person being a blur as I never got a good look from having been fixated on their haunting eyes and blood coated grin. I don't remember everything as clearly as I'd like.... but I know that I was there for a long time.
