Patrick is a vampire hunter, has been all of his life due to his family. He was supposed to be assigned to continue the family business, being the only child of the pair, at age 21. However at the age of 19, both of his parents disappeared due to mysterious circumstances. Patrick blamed the vampire pack they were hunting, since The Alpha they were after was in the pack. Sure, some vampire nests had their own alphas. But this was The Alpha of all vampires. Some even speculated that The Alpha was the first vampire to ever exist.
Pete was one of the vampires allowed to live and be near The Alpha at their own hidden nests, although they moved around alot due to hunters. He was assigned to be The Alphas protector, though he never wanted to be in the first place.
