I started writing this book 13 May 2008 It takes you through our whole experience of rising up and prospering in South Africa - even under a racist ANC government. I've written this book as an inspiration, that even in the face of huge adversity, you can come out on the other side and make it. However, my wish for you is not to only "make it" - but live your best life. I invite you to come on this journey with us. It was sometimes an emotional rollercoaster with many trials and tribulations, but the end result was worth it. This book is very special and unique in the sense that it was started and written while I was at the lowest point in my life with no salvation in sight... It's wasn't written in hindsight or after the fact. It started with hope, a dream, a promise. You will see when you start going through these pages - If I could make it, surely you can. After you, I realized that time, circumstances, or simply us, because we are not perfect beings, but we try to be the best version of ourselves day by day, can be destined to be together and last as long as we are willing. Nostalgia flooded my body when I passed by our quiet, lonely, and green park, the one that welcomed us when we were together, just you and me. I saw that old, worn-out bench sitting empty; it was impossible not to remember the afternoons we spent there, laughing, dreaming, enjoying each other's company. From the moment I saw you that coincidental day, I knew that love had finally arrived in my life, and I will continue to stand by your side as your wife until my body can no longer go on.
