No matter how much he mentally matured, his youthful appearance never followed suit. Annabeth is now qualified enough to take over the position he held in emergence. Just in time for him to take on a new job as an Avenger.

He still participated in the events of The Heroes of Olympus just more over powered and had no relationship with Annabeth.
