This takes place in 2020 but there's no COVID-19 and the other psychotic stuff that's happening.
Laurens and Alexander are in college (along with their other friends) and Laurens has depression (not doing this to be quirky, doing this bc I don't feel like talking to people about my problems so I'm gonna give them to him
Also, they don't know each other in the beginning.
Anyways, this is a Lams fanfic because I'm at that part of my Hamilton phase.

Cover art dose not belong to me! It's whoever made it and I wanna say it looks AWESOME Alexander is really messed up. He has anxiety, depression, and is mute. By choice. He's also an orphan, and he's been bouncing around foster homes since he was about 11. In all of them, he's been abused, one way or another. He's been in about 7 different homes by now, and his current one doesn't seeeem so bad. But you never know. He's 14, and and has been jumped ahead a few years in school. He will face many struggles along the way, but he will rise up above them to take his shot. And one day, he will blow us all away. Note: There is swearing, talk of abuse and suicide, some abuse (not a lot! only a LITTLE), and some school-level fighting so basically maybe just a fist fight or two. And I think those are the only things that are going to be this XD so don't worry! Oh and some gayness. Not a lot, just kissing. Enjoy!!! Alexander knows he loves Laurens. He also knows that he is straight and only has a platonic relationship with Laurens. He does not think about the taste of Laurens' lips, the soft curls of his hair framing his honey-drop freckles, the curve and snap of the muscles under his skin, or the region under his breeches he wouldn't dare say even under the cover of his thoughts. A story about two generations of Laurenses and Hamiltons, and how their lives become entwined through family, friends, self-discovery, and love. It starts out rocky - Frances doesn't know what's going on in her life - her relationship with her father seems fragile, she doesn't exactly have a lot of friends, and the ones she does have have better ones than her. There's something going with her mind, she doesn't know what it is, and she hates it. Philip has a good life - his dad is basically his best friend, but he has a million other friends at school that are all a close second. He's confident he can get with the girl he's recently developed a crush on until he meets her best friend. John is lonely - he's trying to understand his daughter, but she has been more recently drifting away and he doesn't know if she needs help, or if he could even help her if she did. He wishes they could be a team, but she seems to prefer going solo. Alex is overworked - he barely has time for anything. Recently a single dad, he's constantly at the office, working longer hours to support his seven kids. He's got Philip to help him out around the house and with the other kids, at least, but that doesn't make solitarily running a household that much easier.
