This is the story of my life and how I came to be in the position I am in. My name is Eliza Christine Bailey, and I recently moved to a small town with my mother to start over after my father, Liam, and mother, Christel, recently got divorced. Growing up, I witnessed my dad repeatedly come back home from bars intoxicated, yelling at my mom, bickering with her, and holding her responsible for everything. All in all, my life hasn't been particularly easy. My older brother and I both woke up as our mother fell with a huge crash that rattled the walls. While my mom was sitting there crying and appearing much more broken than before, my older brother (21) was undoubtedly the one who reached her sooner and threw himself in between my mother and father.
