In Axis there is no color; no life. After years of polluting the atmosphere a layer of smog has formed over Axis. Clothing turned yellow with coal, lungs filled with soot, everything covered with a layer of dust. Stories of what once was or what could be have long been forgotten. June Wright #30060 is 16 this year, not like it means anything though. Age is insignificant, except for you're 10th birthday of course because that's when you are assigned a position. June got the most amazing position of all: ration wrapper. If you couldn't tell I was being sarcastic. He has the exciting job of wrapping plates of food in the local ration factory. There is one thing that is different about June: he knows what has been forgotten. Being raised by his grandfather, Frank Wright #22308, he has been told stories of a blue sky with clouds and beautiful birds since he was a child. Frank's dream had always been to see the sky. However, he got sick just like everyone else and died never leaving Axis. June is determined to fulfill his grandfather's dream. He and his best friend Avery plan a completely reckless and idiotic adventure and will stop at nothing to escape the dystopian society they were forced to endure for so long.

{WATTPAD FEATURED STORY, NOVEMBER 2017} Welcome to the Grove. Two years after a devastating sickness swept the planet, the surviving human population barricaded itself into walled cities, shutting off the outside. While these self-preserving men and women tried to repopulate the lost Earth, the remaining scraps of society, the children orphaned by disease, were thrust into the wilderness. This is the Grove. My people, my tribe. When the world denied us salvation, we banded together with only one common goal: survive. We call ourselves the Ravens. Welcome to the wild.
