However even they too are outmatched by demons, who poses powerful blood demon magic. Yet they continue to hold the line with their mere human bodies. Sometimes, the best way to combat monsters....is to become monsters as well. One such demon slayer would rise up to the occasion, becoming a monster to protect others and instil the fear of god into the demons. Verra was one of the thousands of fans who loved Dethklok. When they're having trouble finding inspiration, luck brings them to her. As she grows closer with each member of the band, more than one becomes intrigued by her. She begins to build strong friendships, as well as relationships. Eventually she is caught between what she wants and what the press wants. Nathan, at first cold, discovers that she's different than girls who normally chase after him for exactly that reason. Verra doesn't feel the need to pursue. Toki and Verra quickly hit it off, becoming friends immediately. With his curse of death surrounding him and everyone he loves, will Verra get hurt by him? What exactly will Verra do for Dethklok, or TO them? *This story is not specifically focused on romance, and not every chapter will include it (although it is a big subplot).* Edit to add : Yo. It's 2022 now. I was like fuckin 14 or some shit when I wrote this. I still think it's funny and all, but you can 100% tell it's a 14 year old telling this story. Skwisgaar is forced to face a demon from his past while Toki's mental state declines rapidly - all whilst trying to write and record the new album. The pair undertake seperate yet intertwined emotional journeys to understand their hate for themselves, and each other. Skwisgaar Swigelf - Rockstar. That's the only Skwisgaar Swigelf the fans, the label or even his bandmates will ever see. Yet somehow Toki manages to slip through the wall he puts up around his heart; which both terrifies Skwisgaar and totally pisses him off. After Toki has a brush with death, Skwisgaar is left confused about his feelings towards him; wanting him close but continuing to push him away. Toki also starts to realise that his feelings towards Skwisgaar are stronger than he wants to admit; espeially his hatred for him. After the death of his father, Toki's mental state takes a nose-dive as his christian teachings conflict with his feelings towards Skwisgaar and the way he acts upon them. Note: This is not a nice story, messed up things happen. If you don't want to read that kind of thing, this is not for you. Trigger warnings (that I can think of): - Rape/ non-consent - Domestic violence - Violence - Abusive childhood memories - Attempted suicide - Self harm - Eating disorders - Drug use/ Abuse - Alcohol use/ abuse - Emotional abuse/ Manipulation - Really foul language - And a bunch of other stuff....
