Autism is not just one condition, but a name given to a whole bunch of mental conditions that affect the way that a person thinks and interprets the world around them, and it's more common than many people think. According to the National Autistic Society, approximately 700,000 people in the UK are affected by it. That's more than 1 in 100, and if you take into account their families, that's almost 3,000,000 people in the UK living with someone who has autism.

I grew up with other autistic students in my school, and this book goes over what it was like growing up in that environment.

This book isn't finished for now; I'll add more as I go.

Beyond Words: A Journey of Love, Loss, and Autism

11 parts Complete

When eight-year-old Jonathan met his autistic cousin Asher, he never imagined that their brief encounter would shape the course of his entire life. Bound by a childhood promise made in the face of tragedy, Jonathan embarks on a decades-long journey to unlock the mysteries of the autistic mind. But as he rises to become a world-renowned neuroscientist, he discovers that his greatest lessons came not from textbooks or laboratories, but from a boy who never spoke a word. A touching tale of love, loss, and the power of human connection, this story reminds us that sometimes, the most profound impact on our lives comes from the most unexpected sources.
