The afterfire
// Jake Donfort and Lyra Ambrose // After the explosion in the Ironsplinter Mine, things went on with a quiet tension. Not only did the fire leave behind an unidentified body, but it further enhanced the already intricately tangled threads. And this time, Lyra was in more danger than ever. No one from the group is trying to reach her. Lyra didn't receive a single phone call, and she couldn't make one either. Is there a more serious reason than she thinks? Or do the others no longer need her? They got what they wanted from her, and maybe... they're now afraid? Will it be possible for the girl to build further the precisely crafted spider web in such a way that as few people as possible fall into its trap, including herself? Will she be able to move on with knowing her last words to Richy were unforgiving? And Jake? What happened to the man who won her heart with words alone? So many unanswered questions, and Lyra got no one but herself to help figuring them out. And as any good detective does in such situation, she began to investigate.

A week after Hannah Danford has been found and brought back home safe, Jake decides to visit Duskwood to finally meet his half-sisters - and you. You try your best to find out where you two are at with your relationship while you slowly get to know each other more. But unfortunately, Duskwood doesn't stay safe for too long - as if it is attracting danger, a new criminal shows themselves, and you and the others have to rely on yourselves to stop this person. Fem!MC x Jake, slow burn romance, drama and thriller, reader POV. There is sexual references, strong language, murder & kidnapping included in the story. The Tales and Tellings of Hallows' Grove (MM)
Henry Everwood has lived in Hallows' Grove his entire life amongst superstitious townspeople. Despite his patient denial of the rumours circulating his practices, Henry is indeed the witch people fear him to be, though he hardly uses his magic for anything more than his cooking and housecleaning. Come October, Henry forbids the usually wandering ghosts from entering his home. One, however, makes it through his warding without knowing how or why he did it. Edward appears in Henry's house with no memory of his living life, his family, or his last name. Henry prepares to send him back to the howlite path, a trail of magic stones that leads ghosts to their afterlife, when a terrible memory resurfaces-Edward had been murdered. Not only that, but Henry and Edward quickly discover that Edward is alive only when he's touching Henry. With unanswered questions from both ends, Henry accepts to help Edward look into his murder, why the connection between them is so strong, and reveal whether or not the new blonde woman in town and her brother know more about magic than they're letting on. But what happens when Henry and Edward start to fall for each other? What happens when Henry's long-kept family secret is uncovered? The Things You Will Never Know
If you go down to the woods today... Well, in this town, you probably won't come back. Unexplained deaths and disappearances are normal around here. In Haltonshaw Grove, we tell these real life horror stories to our kids like bedtime tales. They help us learn from a young age to stay out of the forest after dark. But one halloween, we didn't listen- Me and four boys. We broke the rules and we paid the price. We barely made it out alive and now we live with the trauma, the nightmares, the memories. Seven years later, the events of that night, like most things tend to do around here, have come back to haunt us. We never talked about the night we ran in the forest, never spoke afterwards at all really, but now we're going to need each other if we're going to survive what's coming. Me and those boys I've loved all along. - - ‐ - - - - - - - - - - - - - Our town is haunted. The five of us are cursed. And Halloween is just around the corner... Let's see who makes it to November 1st.
