The Dragonborn's Curse
Torn between the wild loyalty of Aela the Huntress and the dark allure of Serana, the Dragonborn walks a path of blood and destiny. As war rages and the hunt for the Elder Scrolls begins, one choice will change her fate forever-werewolf, vampire, or something far more dangerous. In the shadows of Skyrim, love and power are never without sacrifice. A WLW Fanfiction following the Dawnguard/Serana questline (becoming a vampire). It follows a lot of the story and script, but with variation and expansion. There's a lot of romance, a love triangle, and spicy smut. Much of the story is based off of my most recent playthrough- I had never met Serana before and I truly loved Aela the Huntress as my companion, but once I met Serana, I threw Aela to the wolves, so to speak. I had to write a fanfiction of how I would have loved for the story to go, tying in details from the game. ***Please note, this is an LGBTQIA+ work. Femke, a Nordic-Bosmeri woman, has come to Riften to start over. She thought she was ready for adventuring in the big, wide world outside of her meager home in the mining colony of Dawnstar. She couldn't have been more wrong. After several mishaps and roadblocks, she stumbles to Riften, footsore, hungry, and with no money to her name, in hopes of finding some good, honest work. But no one seems to trust her because she has elven blood. Turned away and alone, she is found by two members of a mysterious organization operating within Riften. One, a Nordic man called Brynjolf, takes pity on the poor human-elf and offers her a job, and if she does well, a spot within the "Guild," as he puts it. The type of work she does there lives up to her expectations enormously, but then she learns about a family secret...one that could threaten her position in Jorrvaskr and compromise the friendships she's made. *** The only characters I own in this story are Skylar and Marco. Vilkas x Dragonborn fan fiction Originally titled "You Don't Have to Save The World Alone, Harbinger," but that was long and a little ridiculous. My most recent Skyrim play-through, personal character idea (female nord Dragonborn) and a few head-cannons that went with it. Dragonborn knows she's the Dragonborn and many other things about Skyrim. Companions quest-line, civil war quest-line, and main story quest-line (consider this a spoiler warning!) Mostly from Vilkas's point of view and the Dragonborn's point of view. And of course as this is a fan-fiction, the only character that is mine is my specific version of the Dragonborn, everyone else belongs to Bethesda. A portion of the dialogue comes directly from the game as well. Also, no smut, but there will be some strongly suggestive occasions so I marked it "mature". This story will contain mature content. Also, I've come to realize that the villain in this story is basically just Cinderella's evil stepmother.
