He's the team's star player, a seemingly arrogant ass, and a problem everyone else is used to adjusting around. Sloane treats injuries. Not egos. Malachi treats everything like a challenge. Especially her. Until one accident changes the dynamic between them completely. And somewhere between forced proximity and constant arguments...that line between irritation and something worse starts to blur. Now Sloane is inside the system she was only meant to observe. And Malachi has someone in his space who doesn't treat him like he's untouchable. From opposite sides of the same tension, neither of them is prepared for what constant proximity does to control.
