Kristen Santiago is a gorgeous, athletic, smart and fun-loving teenage girl. The only problem is that her father is an alcoholic and her mother died when she was about five years old so things aren’t looking up too well on the parental side of things. 
Then we have her best friends, Nick and Bryan, who can never cease to make her laugh ( especially when Bryan is attracted to anything with two legs and talks and Nick , as much as she’d hate to admit it, gives her butterflies whenever he laughs).
Life was going quite well for the trio with senior year right around the corner and Kris and Nick finally realizing their feelings towards one another. That is until Aunt Shania suddenly calls from Miami and requests that Kris spend the summer with her after not seeing her for about six years. Seems a little out of the blue for the regular person but Kris sees it as an opportunity to get away from her father and have some fun even if it’s without her two favorite boys.
Then she meets Sean who obviously likes her and she kinda likes him back  but there’s one little thing keeping her from falling for him. Take a guess what or who it is.
Things in Miami seem pretty normal at first but then she finds out something that changes everything. Relationships are ruined and new ones are made. Secrets are uncovered and a new world unfolds.
