Ever since her first year at Hogwarts, she was never accepted by her classmates. Pretty much everybody except for the Weasleys think she'll be just like her parents, Death Eaters, torturing people left and right. It gets worse in her third year, when the kids of people her parents killed and tortured come to Hogwarts. Despite all the things people say about her, she makes it her job to take care of them.

"What was she like?"
"She was unique. Not your typical anything. She was.. different from the others."

Charlie X Reader, 'Playing With Fire' Book 1 (Series Completed) *** "Uh, yeah. I stopped going to classes a while back. Believe it or not, that's not good for the GPA. I had, like, a 26 average or something," I said like it wasn't a big deal. "Damn, that's not great," he admitted. He rounded the corner into Percy's room. I could hear Percy fighting with the twins in their room. "Why'd you do that?" he asked teasingly. "My dad died," I answered honestly. "Oh, shit. I'm sorry," he said and his face dropped. "It's alright," I dismissed. "Seriously, stop looking at me like that." "I can't help it," he said. "You're making it worse. You look like a wounded puppy," I whined. "Don't be like everyone else. I'm sick of people treating me differently because of this whole thing. Treat me normally." "You mean, like flirt with you a little bit?" "Well, I, uh," I stuttered. He grinned at me. "You're blushing." *** Seventh-year Y/N Y/L/N is what the professors would call a prime example of wasted potential, with an impressively bad 26% average. As far as she's concerned, she is past academic redemption. However, Dumbledore and McGonagall decide to introduce a new opportunity for struggling students, a scholarship that covers a trip abroad. Y/N is desperately in need of this scholarship if she wants to graduate from Hogwarts, but she is struggling through more than anyone knows. The only thing that is keeping her going is the family she's found with the Weasleys. They're an odd bunch and that's exactly why she fits in. Because she doesn't. Things are simple with the Weasley family. That is until she crosses a line with one of the Weasley boys, a path that can never be retraced. Y/N finds herself trapped in a web of lies that she had created. One spark and everything she has worked for could be gone in an instant. And she's playing with fire. "Fred Weasley," he introduced himself as he leant back against the table, "Well, Professor Weasley now I guess." "I remember," Kate replied, her eyes suspiciously glancing back at him, "I was in the year below you, but I didn't think you would remember me." "Not remember you?" Fred questioned, his eyebrows burrowing inwards, "how could I forget the girl that saved my life?" It's been a year since Kate Mellor graduated Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry, and only three months since she returned to fight in the Battle of Hogwarts alongside her old Quidditch Teammates and her best friend...Cho Chang. But now she finds herself at Hogwarts's Grand Staircase once again. Now a Healer's Associate at St Mungo's studying Psychiatry, she has been called upon by Headmistress McGonagall to provide emotional support to all the incoming students - including the returning seventh years who never got to finish their exams. She's not the only new interim professor this year, as old friends and the Weasley family have come to help up too...but will the heavy grief of students scarred in the war be too much? Or will she find solitude in her fellow Professor, who can teach her that there is more to life, and grief, than words in books?
