Book 1 of the Number Eight series
Everyone knows of the seven children adopted by billionaire industrialist Sir Reginald Hargreeves, they are the group of child hero's that reduce crime and foils bank robberies, all while pulling off the super hero look where ever they go, but the secret that nobody knew, was that there were actually eight children adopted. Dealing with powered individuals is already a constant task, but when one child becomes too much of a challenge, Hargreeves tries to implement measures to deal with the problem. But when the measures implemented lead to terrible secrets, one of the children goes out on their own in a desperate attempt to escape the estate and live style of Hargreeves teachings, but when some of these secrets are discovered, the relationship between Hargreeves and the child changes in ways no one can imagine.
This is a story about Heather Hargreeves, the eighth child adopted and her life after she runs away from the Hargreeves estate in a journey to find her own way to a happy and successful life. Parts of this story lines up with Season 1 of The Umbrella Academy, the Netflix series, like the impending apocalypse and other events, but this story highlights the life and challenges of a young girl finding her way in the world after being kicked out, forgotten about, and neglected for her early childhood life and now entering the real world with strange people and a foreign lifestyle to her own. With no one helping her, her siblings forgetting her existence, and relying on her own wits to survive, can Heather help stop the apocalypse, or does she just make it worse?

They were always by each other's side and there for each other, they were inseparable. Most of the time, you could find Maddie by Five's side and hm by hers. No one have ever seen two people so in love. Five was always the one that could motivated Maddie to be brave, smart, strong and to not lose control. And she was the only one that could make him act kind and soft. They never did anything without the other, expect when Five leaves one day without Maddie and never comes back. But when Five disappeared, he took half of her soul with him. She was never the same. Everything changed for her and half of her body got empty. The only thing that kept Five going when he was gone was the thought of seeing Maddie again. But what if she somehow comes back after the death of her father? What if she gets reunited with her twin and what if the boy she thought she lost and who she used to have a crush on came back as well with the news of the nearing Apocalypse?
