When classmates suspected that Yale was gay, they decided to play a trick on him to out his sexuality by getting another classmate to pursue him. When Yale learned of their sick game and that they were going to expose him in school, Yale confessed everything to his best friend Ashby, who he was secretly in love with.
So Ashby came up with an idea that he knew would solve Yale problem. Ashby pretended to be his boyfriend. Ashby was the son of a billionaire, which made being gay around town cool.
They decide that they would pretend to date until college. Until one day, a new student joins their school. Instantly, there was chemistry between Ashby and the new student. When Ashby asked Yale for permission to date, Yale, who has always loved him, pretended he didn't care, all while unraveling.
