She took a deep breath, staring into the mirror. Her jaded emerald eyes looking back at her.
'It's just hair, Harriet. You don't need it.'
She muttered this to herself as she picked up the scissors.
'You're not Harriet anymore. You're Harry.'
She -he- corrected firmly. He took a fistful of long raven hair and hacked it off with a satisfying snip. It fell into the sink, prompting a smile from Harry's face.

Harry was not at all excited to start school again. He was not ready for all the "dark lord" talk to start up again. Back at Hogwarts harry walks into a familiar blond, only to find out that they can hear one another's thoughts, only to find that this means they are mates. After a long struggle the boys soon express their feelings for one another and have no problem in the hole school knowing. Ginny is not happy with this and thinks she should be the one harry falls in love with. Harry is abused by the Dursleys, so Sirius and Remus come to stay with him in Hogwarts to make sure he's okay. He starts a secret friendship with Draco.
