I was suddenly inside the world of a twisted romance book I recently started reading as a librarian of the imperial palace, who was tasked by the villainess to kill the female lead, but in end was killed by the tyrant male lead. It would happen in the future. So for now, I will live my life quietly and read books at the library without interrupting the love story of the main characters of the book. But suddenly my plan was quickly turned upside down. "Kim Dokja, be my empress." The 8 years old, Yoo Jonghyuk, demanded. 'This must be a phase that kids go through. It will eventually wear off.' I thought and just laughed, thinking it was cute and ruffled the young prince's hair and walked off to the library. But as years passed, the young prince who had grown up into a fine young man, kept on aggressively declaring his love for me and I, in return, kept rejecting him everytime it happened. And at one point, I had enough and asked if l could transfer into a library far from here. Once I was given permission, I quickly left without the prince knowing. So far, my peaceful days resumed and I continued reading books, until one night. "Kim Dokja!!! The library is up in flames!" Han Sooyoung, my co-librarian said while bursting inside my house. I take a deep breath I didn't know I was holding at the driver's side door swings open and a very pissed off Axel steps out. "Thank god," I mumble and place my hands on my knees to catch my breath. "Blaze?" He says and I hate it. I hate how he says my name as if it's his. Like he knows it's the only thing I want to hear, him calling out to me, looking at me, focused to me. It's the first time in my life I wanted someone's attention so badly I didn't care how I got it. And that was too dangerous for me to hold onto. "Are you insane or some shit? I could have killed you!" He says and starts to walk towards me. I take a big breath and step back away from him, "s-stop! Axel," I stutter still panting. It's then he notices the blood on my hands and shirt. "Is that blood?" He asks staring at my shirt and I take another step back. "Stop, stay b-back," I try to say confidently but I can't even breath right. Realizing he won't listen I start to turn around planning to make a break for it. "Don't run from me Blaze it won't go well," he growls reading my thoughts causing me to freeze in my spot. "Do not ever think you can get away from me."
