In her county of Latione Queen Olimpia has nothing to lose and nothing to fear. The second she enters a room she demands respect and off with those who don't give her it. She rules alone with a just hand and she has for several years since both her parents (the previous king and queen) past. Now that she has defined what her rule her advisers grow inpatient waiting for her to marry. And finally right when she was about to cave and offer the position of becoming her confidant to the most likely suitor that her parents had brought to the palace while she was still a princess, she finds out he is truly in love with her. So she sends him away and banishes him from the palace forever.
So what is she left to do with no suitors available to her and an angry set of advisers on her about the importance of her awaited marriage. She of course allows them each to place forward a candidate to become her confidante and she slowly ticks away at them until there are only two left from the original ten.
