Alexander Hamilton is the smartest person at the local high school in New York City. Had a promising future, but no money for it. 

John Laurens, on the other hand, was the richest person in the same school (besides maybe his friends, the Schuyler Sisters), but he had no interest in learning anything to go anywhere. 

So it only makes sense for these two to work together to get where they want to be, right? Well, yeah, except there's a couple problems. 

1) John Laurens and his group bully Alex every day, and

2) One of them has a secret crush.

John might find Alex, but will it be in time? Can he save him from James Reynolds? WARNINGS: There is rape, angst, depression, cursing, and lots of other stuff that is inappropriate for young reader. I can't stop you though. Basically how the soulmate thing works like: When you kiss your soulmate, a band in your skin forms on your left ring finger. You can change the band to look however you want. If your soulmate is feeling a strong emotion, your soulmate feels it too. If you get hurt, your soulmate feels a muffled version of that pain. Yes I used a Heathers quote as the title FIGHT ME (Don't actually I'm weak, there's a reason I act instead of playing sports) (Not that acting/dancing/singing isn't hard but ya). I really had no idea what I was doing when I started writing this so sorry if it's weird or things don't make sense. All characters belong to Lin-Manuel Miranda and all those people DON'T SUE ME Me looking back on this story: F*ck, this is so angsty and cringey, but I can't take it down because it has so many reads. *cries in author*

Alexander knows he loves Laurens. He also knows that he is straight and only has a platonic relationship with Laurens. He does not think about the taste of Laurens' lips, the soft curls of his hair framing his honey-drop freckles, the curve and snap of the muscles under his skin, or the region under his breeches he wouldn't dare say even under the cover of his thoughts. He loves John Laurens, but not like that, ya know? I mean, come on, there's no way he's gay in a time where that could get you killed, where he's a public political figure, where he's a proud American soldier, where he could die any second (thanks to the time period and his mouth), or where he's married to Elizabeth Schuyler.
