It's 2017 and Peggy Carter is alive and well and now working for the United States Government. When the plans to a devastating bomb are stolen it's up to Carter to do what she does best and retrieve the stolen information. But things don't go as planned when the handsome and charismatic MI6 agent Damian Griffin shows up on the scene looking for the same thing. After a game of cat and mouse, it is decided, against Peggy's wishes, that they must work together.
As the story unfolds, it becomes clear that Peggy Carter isn't the person she used to be. Troubled by her past and the ghosts that haunt her, her life begins to unravel and she no longer has anyone to turn to...or so she thinks. As time slips by and Peggy and Damian are forced into close quarters, Damian's sweet and caring nature opens her eyes and shines a light on her loneliness. But as clues fall into her lap, she becomes suspicious of what is really going on. She must navigate through a maze of love, loss, mystery, and betrayal before time runs out...

I bent over and her body and started to sing the song she used to sing to her brother. The crunch was so deafening in the silence as Nick Fury stepped on my Winter Soldier mask. He didn't look very happy and neither did the two dozen men surrounding me with blasters trained at my head. Fury made one swift movement with his hand and two men strapped handcuffs to me and lifted me to my feet. As they led me to their flying prison, I turned around and whispered one last thing to her, "Mne zhal..."
