Jackie, a teenage girl faced with her life changing beyond her control, is struggling. She's alone in a scary world. If it wasn't for dance, music and a small but trustworthy friend group, she'd have been long gone.

Jackie clings on to the things that distract her brain - she doesn't want to upset the balance of the few things that mean something to her, so she resists change and tries desperately to appear normal. But change is inevitable, school is coming to an end and she's going to have to make adult decisions about which way to turn. Innocence and childhood out the door.

Set to a backdrop of 1980s small town Britain, we follow her journey of friendship, love and getting lost in music - is there a light at the end of a dark tunnel? And what about this boy who has appeared in her life, the one who she seems to have a connection with like she's never felt before?
